I am CLEAR - Intention Series
Walking on a path of silence, open to the clarity our inner Hermit offers
I am clear
The icy sound of a bell cutting through the still of night. Bright eyes seeing the most minute detail on a snowflake. Knowing who I am.
With a still mind I know without a doubt who I am, why I am here, and how I am to serve.
Contemplating Clarity
With soft, keen, quiet focus…breathe and consider…
If you were to sit in one of your favorite spots…quietly, fully calm and relaxed…where would you be and what would you see?
You may even substitute this actual spot for one of your dreams, of your imaginings.
Allow yourself to close or soften your eyes, and believe yourself into being here, in this place…
Where is this place?
What do you see here?
How do you feel inside, as you sit quietly in this space?
Can you see the images around you and bring an awareness to the sensations inside your body with some degree of clarity?
What is easier for you to notice…sights or sensations? Or both?
How meaningful would it be for your body, mind, and spirit to be able to see with a deep awareness, a sharp focus, a clarity of divine wisdom and your heart’s desire…
All that you need to know right now, in this moment, in order for you to advance, to move forward without attachment, delay, confusion, distraction?
When You Feel the Opposite of Clear…Distracted
Out of focus. Scattered. Cluttered. Overwhelmed. Anxious. Lost. Ambivalent. Afraid.
What is the energetic sensation you receive in your body when you find yourself feeling in any of the ways above?
What is your distinction between being completely clear and firm about something and being mentally distracted, living a life filled with clutter and overwhelm?
How does it feel inside when you switch from one sensation to the other…from cluttered to clear…from distracted to centered?
When you are clear, when you have clarity around a decision or feel something so strongly in your body that you know, without a doubt, what you need or want to do next…how does that feel…this level of clarity?
And what about the opposite feeling and sensation…when you are distracted, when your mind is fuzzy and unable to focus even when you know a certain level of attention is required of you, needed in order to move forward? How does that feel?
Observations of Distraction, Noise in Nature & Body
Consider different versions of the sky…
What differences do you notice when looking at a clear morning sky, no clouds in sight…and then…a stormy, black cloud-filled sky, rumbling with lightening and thunder?
What differences do you notice when seeing a snow-filled sky, flurries flying and thick… and then…a nighttime sky, pitch dark, but so clear you see it filled with stars?
Next, consider the internal observation of sensations in your own body…
When you feel flooded with obligations set upon you by others or circumstances that appear out of your control…what sensations become noticeable, uncomfortable, unbearable inside your body?
What sensations do you notice when you feel serene, at peace upon the closure or accomplishment of something important to you?
Why consider these examples?
When you gain clarity around how you feel inside your body…
When you have cultivated an awareness around how you feel and the internal sensations that are acting as clues about what you want to be doing and thinking and becoming…
You can move forward in a confident and courageous manner.
Tools for Experiencing Clarity
✨Tarot…image, symbol, connection to Spirit ✨
The Hermit calls us to…
mind the ground beneath our feet
find gentle stillness
focus our gaze at our heart center and ask meaningful questions
move forward unafraid…because the lantern lights the way, offering a clear path forward…if only we ask in silence and listen in open hopefulness
Wisdom comes when stillness is
acknowledged, mastered, held softly
and let go again.
The Hermit can represent our connection to the Earth. He is us, we are him…rooted in wisdom…if only we light the lantern of our heart to see, with clear eyes and spirit…where we are to place our feet next.
Searching in symbol and silence…what do you see when you gaze upon your dear Hermit…ground, snow, cloak and hood, staff, hands, lantern…a focus on facing forward…
Even in times of clutter and chaos, when you slip into states of stillness and silence, you can become clear, hold an open mind, see with clear vision all that you need in order to know what to do next, to find the direction you need in order to travel forward instead of backwards.
When you listen quietly, lantern lit in prayerful asking…
Can you sense the noise quieting around you?
Can you sense the clarity that washes upon you?
Can you watch, as The Hermit does, for the answers you require to reveal themselves…all in good time?
