Guided Meditation: Grounded, Loving Light

A 20-minute guided meditation for you!

Welcome to the Moving into Spirit Podcast - Episode #6

In this episode you are invited to find a comfortable way to be, to rest…as you explore and ground yourself in the elements that reside inside your physical body, and then connect to the radiant, loving light that resides at your heart center.

During this meditation you will be guided to visualize:

  • the earth…holding and nourishing your body, holding you throughout this practice

  • the air…cleansing your mind of negative, unhelpful thoughts you may be holding or having at this time

  • the water…pure, clean, refreshing water as ocean, lake, or creek, water flowing outside and inside

  • the fire…passion and light emanating, radiating from your heart center

Before you practice, you may like to find a pen and some paper, in case you feel moved to reflect, write, or draw when you finish.

For this practice, you may like to lay in bed or on your yoga mat, or simply sit in a quiet, comfortable, safe space.


Please NOTE: 100% of this episode is a meditation, not one to listen to while out and about, driving, etc.

I hope you have found this gentle, guided meditation beneficial, and that you remember you have access to it when you need it.

It may be difficult or feel cumbersome to take some time each day to pause, reflect, pray, listen.

This is why it’s called a yoga or meditation or prayer “practice.”

It takes time, dedication, and practice for the muscle of our heart to connect to the muscle of our brain in order to

  • override our nervous system and find patience and comfort with the silent moments that are needed each day

  • cultivate an awareness of how we feel and what we need in any given moment

  • consciously and courageously make the choice to shift what needs shifting in order to bring about a new emotion, thought, physical sensation, or habit

Please use this practice whenever you find you are in need of some silence, some connection to all the compassion…the light…that resides within you.
